About Criminal Discourse Podcast

My dogs, Sydney and Otto, love a good true crime podcast

Trish

Hi! Since you’re reading this I’ll tell you a little about myself. I’m a long time resident of Pennsylvania though born in Hawaii (worlds apart I know).

If you’ve listened to past episodes you know that I have a son with special needs and a husband who is also Criminal Discourse Podcast’s tech support/business manager (not to mention my ride or die partner in life). We also have two dogs: Otto and Sydney, both rescues who complete our home. When we record they are always in the studio with us listening and if dogs could roll their eyes I’m sure there is some of that going on too.

The obvious thing all of you already know about me is my love of true crime. I’m glad my copious amounts of television true crime viewing and reading are finally paying off and being put to good use. My husband used to worry about how much I watched true crime, now I say it’s all for research!

Thank you all for taking the time to read this and I hope that you’ve been enjoying the episodes we’ve have put out so far. I’ll end this with how I always end our episodes….be safe and lets remember to be kind to one another.

Till next time guys….bye 🙂

Thanks for visiting our site!

Hi listeners!

I’m an 80s baby who grew up watching Unsolved Mysteries and America’s Most Wanted. My passion for true crime never left, and now I get to scratch the itch with Trish on Criminal Discourse.

I could spend hours investigating all the aspects of an intriguing case (and sometimes I do!). There’s nothing like discovering a resource loaded with details, or a rabbit hole that leads you to perspectives that weren’t covered in the major news reports.

I’m especially fascinated by the local ripple effects of the cases we cover – how the events change the people and communities they touch over time. My goal on the podcast is to give voice to those unique perspectives and stories.

On a personal note, I’m a lifelong Pennsylvania resident and writer who works in human services. I majored in psychology and criminal justice in college, but I never became the forensic psychologist I once thought I’d be. I did become a wife (my husband and I met working as ghost tour guides!) and a mother, and my family loves doing weird things together like watching horror movies and hunting for mushrooms.

My kids aren’t old enough to listen to my podcast, but they think it’s pretty cool their mom has one. My hubby might start his own on cryptids and other high strangeness. We have a dog and a cat and they’re just jealous of the time I spend with Trish’s dogs.

Thank you so much for welcoming me to the Criminal Discourse family and for tuning in week after week! Since you made it this far, why not click “contact us” and tell me about YOU, share some feedback about the podcast, or send me a case suggestion?
